Hello and welcome to Dr. Dan's Chiropractic Blog

Dr. Dan

I have been practicing in Hopkins Minnesota for 30 years and have had the honor of helping patients regain their health. I will try to provide the most current information about the healthy choices you can make to achieve optimal health. I will present information that you can incorporate into your daily life and share with friends and family about the benefits of chiropractic care and healthy living strategies.

I can be reached at my office if you have any questions or would like more information. Please call me at 952-931-9867 or text me.

For example, do you know what causes headaches, neck and arm pain? Do you know how many movable vertebrae you have? Do you know the most common misconceptions people have about over-the-counter pain killers? I offer a wealth of information, some of which may surprise you, and who knows…maybe even help you live healthier and happier.

As always, if you have questions or want to discuss your situation, get in touch! Call me at 952-931-9867 or text me.

As we continue to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic, there are a number of things we can do to help keep ourselves healthy. We all need to wash our hands, socially distance and wear a mask in public to help slow the spread of the virus.

We are all now starting to settle into our new normal and with that comes many challenges. Our homes are now acting as schools, business offices, gyms and recreational spaces. These activities are often happening at the same time in limited space.

We all experience stress in our lives in one way or another. The deadline ahead, a meeting with the boss, a strained relationship at home or not enough hours in the day.

We treat patients for a variety of conditions in our office. Many times we uncover other issues or problems during our initial consultation with the patient. One of these issues very often is frequent headaches.

We have all become more dependent on the use of mobile phones for information gathering, communication and entertainment. These hand held devices certainly have made our lives easier but have also impacted our posture significantly.

Many of my patients over the years have asked about the benefits of chiropractic care for their kids and how old they need to be before they can be adjusted. I have actually adjusted patients that are just a few days old.

I came across an interesting article in USA Today regarding exercising and the ability to help reduce disability and improve health in older folks. It really is true that a little bit can go a long way.

My wife and I recently began walking at our local high school indoor track and field house. We had become very lazy and somewhat stir crazy with the long cold snowy winter that has overtaken our area of the country.

Lower back pain is one of the most common conditions that chiropractors treat on a daily basis.  There are simple things that we all can do to help reduce the chances of experiencing lower pain. Most onsets of acute lower back pain are a result of trauma, improper lifting or bad posture.

An oldie but a goodie. This is one of the most frequently asked questions I get from patients and very important to help with pain control and rehabilitation.  I have attached a video that should help clear things up!
